Per Joe Wheat, this "D" had QB pressures on an astounding 47% of drop backs, and that against an offense averaging over 50 ppg the last 9 home games (if I'm right), or something like that. And they did not allow a sack the first 2 games, so BYU's performance means at least something. So that type of QB pressure could even be elite, and is very likely to pay dividends in the TO margin going forward, as time in the opposing team's backfield is very much proportional to creating TO's. And the closing speed we are seeing from this defense absolutely makes me smile (in a "I'm-a-little-embarrassed-but- I-think-she-likes-me" kind a way).
