and is predictably a BYU hater, likes to try and pretend to be sympathetic whenever BYU has a bad loss. The conversations inevitably winds up with him talking about how bad they played and how rough it must be to be a BYU fan. It's very obnoxious. He fired off an IM as soon as the game ended last night about how sorry he is that "BYU got beat."

Usually I just ignore him, and don't respond at all, but last night I responded with a series of messages raving about what a great year it was, and how fun it has been watching them make it to the sweet sixteen, and how we all really enjoyed this season. I let him know that the kids are all completely enamored with Saunders, but Demin has been my favorite to watch, and we are looking forward to next year with Dybantsa, and excited for where KY is taking the program.

All I got back was a lame response about how he didn't watch any college basketball this year, but getting to the sweet sixteen is great. I'm still debating with myself about responding with an acknowledgement that it was a rough year to be a BSU fan, so I understand not watching. Either way, just an extra thank you to the team this year for being so great this season that I can say all that stuff and mean it. It's always great to be a cougar fan, but especially this year. This team was special.
