How to fix issue of removing files (video and pics) not increasing storage?
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop with 16 GB of RAM.

I have two big programs installed--iTunes and Pinnacle (video editing software). I don't have much else beyond the MS Suite of PPT, Excel, and Word. There are a couple photo apps and video players that came with the laptop. I do zero gaming. I collect a fair amount of photos and videos each year before moving them to external storage.

My available disc space keeps disappearing anyway, and I'm now at the point of having exhausting all of it.

Storage Sense is on, and I've gone through the cleanup recommendations repeatedly. Looking at my apps that take up the most space, it's the ones mentioned above and a whole lot of Intel, Mircosoft, and Dell programs that I'm afraid to touch.

I somewhat suspect that all of the pics and videos I've moved off the laptop over the years aren't really gone and are taking up space, but that's only a guess. The other guess is that I've accrued programs needed to run the laptop, and well, maybe time to get a new one. It's been a few years, and I'm not opposed, but if there's a simple fix, that would make the most sense.

When I Google, I mostly find ads for cleanup programs, or I cannot tell the difference between what might be helpful vs. nefarious. I'm feeling stuck

Any ideas?
