So in the 1981 NCAA tournament, BYU was the 6 seed in the East Regional
and beat the 11 seed (Princeton) in the 1st round and the 3 seed (UCLA) in the second round.
They then beat the 2 seed in the Sweet 16 that also happened to be a football blue blood (Notre Dame).
They finally fell to the 1 seed, which was an ACC team (Virginia) who had the consensus national freshman of the year and Naismith award winner (Ralph Sampson).
Given that history never repeats itself but often rhymes, does this mean that BYU will beat Alabama and then lose to Duke in the Elite 8?
