One thing that makes severance unique is the way it plays with tone. It's often very discordant. The marching band scene in the finale is amazing. There's deep underlying intensity as Mark and Helly prepare to make their move, all the while Milchick prances around the room as a drum major. But it's not like Milchick is happy. He's clearly deeply unhappy. But he believes he must play a role, even though it's ridiculous. Tramell Tillman is awesome portraying that character. He does a good job of throwing himself into the role Milchick has to play while showing hints of unhappiness and even boredom at times. Milchick is a great character.
