until Egor travelled, I thought it was going to be a really tight game since it appeared the refs were going to let a lot go. But I was very pleased with the way the refs officiated the entire game after that. I thought they did a good job of balancing letting the players play while calling the more egregious fouls.

I don’t understand why people like to say refs are biased based on foul disparity. It was clear that VCU was the more aggressive team defensively, so they should have been called for a lot more fouls than BYU. BYU played a zone and let VCU shoot 18 more threes than BYU. And Keba does a great job of protecting the rim without fouling.
