It’s a semifinal game and I’m NOT sitting here thinking “Wow, these teams are so much better than BYU.“

That’s different.

I do in fact, think that both lines are better than ours, but these are two of the very best lines in the nation, and I don’t see the difference as dramatic. The running backs are probably better as well but LJ Martin could hang on this field the way he finished the season. As could our receiving corp, specialists, and certainly our linebackers. That very impressive, athletic interception the Penn State defensive end just made? I could legitimately see Tyler Batty doing the same thing.

The Cougars were in fact legit this year. An excellent squad. And at this way, way too early stage, it’s by no means unreasonable to think we could compete at a similar level next year. Perhaps even better…
