BYU was leading most of the game. They actually had a 2-point lead at halftime despite abysmal shooting from 3 and the FT line, as well as a number of missed layups.
I figured that in the 2nd half, especially at home, BYU would shoot better from both 3 and the FT line, and would gradually build a lead. Instead, Texas Tech started hitting 3s and eating the Cougar's lunch on back-to-back-to-back-to-back one-on-one baskets. There were times during the game when BYU could have built a nice lead if they had hit a few more shots and hit a few more FTs. No excuse on the FTs. And to let any team get the better of you on your home floor after leading for a large part of the game is bad. BYU has got to learn how to protect their home court.
That's probably the most disappointing thing to me, is that BYU melted down and lost the game at home.
