If you believe the reports, LIV is in talks to purchase the DP Tour. If this happens, this will mean the players on LIV will then have world points which has been their biggest gripe to this point.
If that happens, you can expect to see more PGA Tour players move to LIV and it would create a head-to-head competition between two tours.
Is this a good thing? I think the answer is...maybe.
LIV will be around as long as they want and the PGA Tour will not be able to compete with them financially. Having two tours with both earning points and playing in Majors and then comping together for an end of year tournament could pull good ratings.
It still feels like the current players on LIV are phoning it in and really don't care about competition as much as the pay-check. This will have to change.
All I know is the game is suffering right now and Monahan needs to go. I want to see the best players playing each other more often.
