Became a BYU fan during McMahon/Young playing days, with follow up Detmer years and watched Jimmer Fredette take the nation by storm.

It just couldn't get much better than all that. Surely those were BYU's "Golden Age". Ahhh....those naive young CBers don't know what "Good Times at BYU" was all about. They'll never see what I was able to watch and witness.

But....I think my thinking on that was wrong.

It's a new age for BYU. BYU is "IN"! We are playing on the Big Boy Sports Stage and the hidden financial juggernaut BYU fans day has officially arrived.

Now that BYU can exert it's muscle. BYU can compete and belong on center stage now that equal footing has been granted. Not only are we going to compete, we are staring elite athletes dead in the eyes and convincing them to come and play for BYU. Going up against the bluebloods in mens basketball and the biggest stage of all, football. And we are winning over athletes.

I do believe a new day is dawning for BYU sports. The real Golden Age is still before us. The best time to be a BYU fan is now.
