polls to start the year. Make no mistake, the polls are a horrible idea until after 4 or more games have been played, but the media and the national pundits are what they are, so we need all the extra points we can get.

If this can become consistent, we all the sudden get the benefit of the doubt. Of course we won’t be kept in the top 15 with 3 losses, but man it will make a difference given that we are dealing with a very very imperfect system riddled with biased opinions.
