There always seems to be a review as to why a bowl victory is meaningful for a team or not. As for our beloved Cougs--let me lay down some whys:

--RELEVANCE: We've been in the national conversation a good part of the season---a win against CU solidifies that BYU is a quality P4 program
--It's been toooooooooooooo long in the irrelevance desert!
--2025 Ranking: Guessing we can nudge up 2-3 spots to start 2025 given our core returners. Where we start is SO freakin' critical if we're to make another run toward the playoffs
--While it's lame-O (but wholly justified) we're not in the playoff--the CU match up is GOLD---lots of eyeballs, compelling matchups----let's show we belong
--Recruiting--a win could be just that little sliver a 4 star or a Portal transfer needs to seal the deal.
--Team and Coaching MOJO for the offseason
I have to believe the team is burning bright to bring the thunder---let's reverse the trend of our last few games where we come out flat and listless.
