I was hoping BYU could get him since we have DL need....and he is an RM. (younger brother is on a mission now and also signed with Idaho State out of high school) But he chose Ohio State with Oklahoma being the other school he most strongly considered. Ohio State had a bit of an in since it had another kid from Pocatello, who was also DL, and is now in the NFL - Tommy Togiai.
"George, an Idaho State defensive end, entered the transfer portal on Dec. 16 and then spent a whirlwind week of recruiting trips, visiting Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Texas A&M."
"As do most recruits to powerhouse football programs like Ohio State, Logan landed a name, image and likeness deal with the Buckeyes. But David reiterated that Logan didn’t get into the transfer portal for money. “When he made the decision to go into the portal, we had no idea what schools were going to be interested in him,” said David. “The coaches couldn’t contact him, and unlike a lot of the big-name recruits, he wasn’t hearing from any of the collectives (which represent NIL programs for many of the larger schools). So getting (an NIL deal) is certainly a blessing, but it wasn’t the reason Logan got into the portal.”
