Mac McGee is credited for catching the first Super Bowl pass in NFL history in the first Super Bowl. (The Kansas City Chiefs against Green Bay) It was won by the Packers. Jan 1967
McGee was in the twilight of his career and didn’t start. When Coach Lombardi called for him from the bench to enter the game, rumor has it that McGee was hung over from the night before. He was so shocked to hear his number called that he couldn’t find his helmet. He grabbed a teammates helmet, went into the game and caught the TD pass!
