Delayed and they are worried it's going to get cancelled. It's currently set to take off just after midnight. There is another flight in the morning they are thinking about booking as a backup. But from what I see online southwest often cancels flights if you have two flights booked on the same day to the same destination.

Southwest flights are fully refundable so they can book and cancel if their flight tonight ends up leaving. But does anyone have any experience if booking the morning flight might end up cancelling their reservation tonight?
