College football will never be march madness. To me, these playoff games are like watching over time in basketball— whatever team starts off hot can just curb stomp the other team because there is so much emotion and desperation. Don’t be surprised when the semis are just as uncompetitive as these games. Some teams know how to show up in the playoffs and some don’t. If you put the SMU vs PSU game in the middle of the regular season, I think SMU is wayyyy more competitive. The moment is just too big.
