Seems like NIL collectives are just a backdoor for rich alumni/fans to pay players to play for their school without the player having any endorsement obligations.

Obviously pro players can sign endorsement deals, but is there anything stopping the rich people in a given community getting together to entice a pro player to sign with their favorite team?
