Is that really accurate? According to this article, the very top tier football NILs are around $20 million a year for an entire team. If we can afford to pay 1/4 of the Ohio State NIL budget for one basketball player, why can't we afford any elite football players? I'm not saying we go and buy a $5 million Arch Manning, but couldn't we afford a $2 million Dillon Gabriel? Or an elite d- lineman or two for much less than that? There's got to be more to the story here than simple inability to afford these players.
