Keep reading about how NBA ratings keep dropping down 48% since 2012 and down 28% this year. And now with the NFL
Playing on Christmas Day they can’t even count on a Christmas Day Monopoly.

I remember growing up everyone was saying that soccer and the NBA would surpass the NFL in popularity because all the little kids are all playing soccer and basketball and mothers won’t let their kids play football growing up but the NFL even MLB recently are getting more and more popular.

Some have speculated that load management, shooting nothing but 3 point shots is leading to its demise.

I’m not sure what it is, but I’m as much into the NFL and MLB as I’ve ever been. I really don’t care as much about the NBA as as I did in 70’s - 90’s NBA.

I’m into the NFL from week one and MLB about the same but I don’t care about the NBA until the playoffs then only the last 3-4 minutes of any given game.

In fact the biggest draw for me about the NBA is to watch the Charles Barkley post game show. It sounds like he’s going to be coming back working with ESPN but for a while there I couldn’t believe how stupid the NBA was for not bringing Charles Barkley back again at least for me he is the biggest draw for me to watch the NBA.

I’m not sure how much Popovich’s, Kerr’s and LeBron’s political rants have turned me off to the NBA but it definitely is at least a small factor.

Curious, if anybody has any takes as to why the NBA ratings continue to take a dive?
