I went up with my fiancée to visit her family in Cache Valley back on December 18, 2021, when I was at BYU. We spent the weekend. Context clues might tell you her family are rabid Aggies. Both BYU and Utah State were 10-win teams, both playing in bowl games that weekend, BYU vs. UAB and USU vs. Oregon State. My fiancée and I walked into her grandma's home and there are dozens of family members all gathered around the TV. BYU is losing to UAB and Utah State is up early against Oregon State.
We walk into the living room to see that nobody, not one human being, is watching their own Utah State Aggies beat Oregon State in the bowl game. The TV is playing BYU vs. UAB and they're all cheering and going crazy. Of course, they all taunted me a little with my BYU hat on which is fine, but I was mostly shocked that they weren't even bothering to watch their own team... Only the team they hate.
USU fans care more about BYU losing than their own team winning, nobody can change my mind.
