I remember when Kevin Young did his initial introduction in the Marriott Center and talked about how he wanted to make BYU the #1 place to prepare kids to go to the NBA, I heard that and thought, "There's a little of the Mark Pope salesman with this guy." Because seriously, even with his background, the limitations of BYU would NEVER allow that to happen. I thought, "Sure, you can want that, but BYU will NEVER be seen as the #1 place for kids to go to prepare for the NBA."

I was wrong.
