Think if a time traveler came right after Mark Pope was announced as the new coach at Kentucky and told you not to worry, because you would see the consensus number 1 pick in the 2026 draft would be committing to BYU, you wouldn't have believed it.

With Kevin Young now having committed Egor Demin and AJ Dybansta, people are wondering if a perpetually fringe tournament team will become a major player in years to come. Now, recruiting wins don't always translate to deep tournament runs, and Coach Young and crew have their work cut out for them, but it is absolutely mind-blowing what they are doing on the recruiting trail.
