FYI - if you leave the lid up when you flush the toilet, an aerosolized toilet water plume fills the air and covers
everything in the room. Those droplets can remain in the air for up to 30 minutes after the flush. It's even worse in public toilets that don't have a lid and have a more powerful flush.
