My brother passed away in September from stomach cancer:

He absolutely loved Christmas. We sang "Away in a Manger" at his funeral. I asked his kids recently if he had any favorite Christmas songs, and they said, "All of them". He had candy canes year round, and whenever we were at his house, our kids knew they were free to go in the pantry and grab one before they left.
His kids decided to surprise their mom with a Christmas light show. My nephew convinced her that he could put up "permanent Christmas lights", which we could do openly without her realizing the extent of it. Then we all chipped in to pre-make all of the other pieces that would need to be set up. Her sisters took her for a girls weekend, and everyone else helped set it up while she was gone.
If you're in Utah County, please make time to visit the display at
1762 S 100 E, Orem from 6-10 pm any day this month. There's a sign with instructions for listening to the music.
