It’s a continuation of the scheduling agreement that the big 10 and SEC are making where the won’t play ACC or Big 12 teams in their non conference games.
It’s just another attempt to eliminate comparison points to make it easier to justify more of the playoff pie which at this point they want 9 spots 8 minimum.
