of those games. Every one of our other conference games, including 6 of our wins, were against the bottom 9 of the conference. Our schedule, as it turned out, was set up for us to win the conference outright, but it was a complete disaster for tiebreakers.
It sucks that we were randomly set up for historic success this year and we were unable to capitalize, despite fielding a pretty good team. This kind of opportunity won't occur very often.
By the same token, BYU is probably worse than it's record, and I wouldn't have been confident against any of the other likely CCG contenders, if we had made it in.
Looking forward to:
1. Decent bowl game for once.
2. Watching three-loss Alabama win the CFP while daydreaming about how the team they are blowing out could have been us.
3. Our good coaches getting poached and our not as good coaches getting contract extensions.
4. Next year's QB battle between Retzlaff and Isaac Wilson.
