1. If BSU loses the rematch with UNLV, BSU is not a conference champ and UNLV likely is the highest rated g5 conf champ, right? Crazy.

2. A first rd bye seems nice, but we have years of examples of teams taking a month off and spending the first quarter to half shaking off the rust. I believe a first rd home game is the best path to the semi finals now.

3. First rd should be weekend of Dec 13th. One week after the CCG weekend. Quarterfinals rd should be the weekend of the Dec 20th. Now that helps the bye rd teams have an advantage.

4. This is less likely, but a wish…. In the middle of the season there should be a 3 week period where the big conferences teams play each other (big 12 vs big 10 weekend, big 12 vs SEC weekend, Big 12 vs ACC weekend) to give a lot of conference comparators to the committee when comparing cross-conference resumes. This would still let teams have between 7-9 conference games.
