First of all, Carson Beck is an NFL talent. You heard it first from Joe Tessitore. And second. And third and fourth, and probably fifth, sixth, and seventh as well.
Second, this was a Georgia Tech team that had taken down TWO top ten teams already this season in Miami and Florida State, both playoff-caliber teams.
Third, Georgia plays in the SEC. And of the 4 teams they have played with a heartbeat, they've won exactly two of them. Any team that can go .500 in the [good teams of the] SEC deserves a spot in the playoffs. Besides, everyone knows the SEC is the best. You hear it all the time from unbiased experts like Finebaum and Josh Pate.
Fourth, Georgia has so much talent. Their recruiting is very good. The fact that their WRs had so many drops, but they still won is a testament to how good they are at bouncing back and taking down a juggernaut in Georgia Tech.
