Thelma on Hulu is a fun movie
About an old lady played by June Squibb who sends $10k to some phone scammers and, when the cops aren't much help, decides to go after them to get her money back. Richard Rountree plays an old friend whose help she enlists because he has a mobility scooter and she doesn't. Funny to see a geriatric Shaft in that role. Parker Posey and Cark Gregg play her daughter and son in law. Their failed-to-launch son is a sweet-natured loser distraught over "losing" her.

Not a huge budget, but doesn't feel like they cut any corners. My only complaint about the look of it is that it leaned a little too far into the modern style of blurring too much of the screen outside the center, but in this case it actually kind of fit, given that the main characters have terrible eyesight.

It has some good laughs and is almost entirely family-friendly. One f-word I think, so managed to stay at PG13. Mines some decent comedy out of aging instead of just being depressing. Recommended if you're looking for something decent to watch.

Note: this trailer shows every bit of "action" in the movie. There's a lot of shuffling.
