These are designed to create maximum chaos. Here are the proposed specials
-
Whirlpool: the card is neutral. Does not win the hand. After the hand he played, all players shift the remaining cards in their hands to the left an equal number of places to the number of the winning card in the hand. Any non-numbered winning card will be considered a 5 for the purposes of the shifting after the whirlpool card.
- Captain Ahab. The low number wins. Suits and Special cards don’t matter
- Pick Pocket. It is a neutral card. The player who plays the card gets to trade a case of their choice from the hand of the winner of the hand in which the pick pocket card is played. The donor player must fan their cards to allow the pick pocket to choose one without looking at the face of the card.
-
Misfire. The card behaves as a non-colored card with a value of zero. The card is neutral and may not win the hand.
- Turncoat. The player who plays the card gets to change the suit of the hand to any color. All players after the turncoat is played must play as if the new color was the first laid.
-
Treasure Chest. When played, this card gives the winner of the hand double their earned bonus in that hand, if any.
Misfire wins if played in the same hand as Captain Ahab
Whirlpool is ineffective if the kraken is played.
If Captain Ahab and the White whale are both played, they cancel each other out.
