back-into-the-conference-championsip-game-due-to-upsets-outside-their-control luck. And that was further cemented in my mind when a team that frequently (horrifyingly) DOES have that kind of luck WAS one of those potential upsets, and when it would've benefitted BYU, couldn't manage it.

Yeah, I'm counting my chickens in that the team will be fired up after everything that's happened the last couple weeks and take it out on the hapless coogs (you know, with the fire they SHOULD'VE had the last two games to make this a moot point!), but by halftime we'll all know we have a mid-table Big12 bowl invite waiting for us and nothing more, because we don't have that kind of luck.

Hey though, 10-3 is a great second P4 season. (Yeah. If we can't get up for EITHER of two games that'd've basically guaranteed a CCG berth, we're not getting up for a bowl game with nothing on the line. Still, on paper, good year.)
