6 ACC teams and 2 Big 10 teams make up the women's soccer final 8. The 6 ACC
teams include 5 of the 6 ACC tournament teams, with Stanford slipping in to replace Florida State who was upset as a 1 seed.
SEC had a 1 seed and a 2 seed (Miss St. and Arkansas) that didn't make it through.
The sweet 16 just had 3 conferences - ACC, Big 10, and SEC.
Big 12, Big east, WCC, and A-10 each had second round teams.
Maybe that is incentive for BYU to try hard to schedule some ACC teams in the non-conference in the future?
