looked like JoJo put forth minimal effort to make the grab. It’s very possible from another angle or when slowing it down there was no chance to make that catch but in real-time it looked like the classic case of laying out for it or with more effort, that catch could have been made.

The Int pass intended for Lassiter, I’m seeing posts that it was thrown behind Lassiter and entirely out of range for him to have made a play on it. Sometimes we think we see things in real-time that don’t end up being accurate but my memory looked like a case of Lassiter reaching for it but reaching for it half-heartedly. Again, maybe it was clearly out of reach so I’d like to see it again.

On this note, Payton Manning and other QB greats have stated that the job of the QB is the locate the ball in a way where the receiver has a chance to make a play on it — understanding it’s irrational and unreasonable for the expectation that the ball hit a receivers chest each time. Manning was known for losing it on his receivers if they couldn’t pull down a catch that was within reach. He would even lose it if they attempted to catch the ball with one hand instead of two (this happened to Collie 2-3 times in fact) even if they made the catch.

Again, I’d like to see the replays to see if those two passes were entirely on Jake as the majority of the board seems to believe.
