Update on the ticket mess
So I spoke with Stub Hub that next morning. I was assured that the situation will be "escalated" to the people who handles this type of situation and to expect an email with options soo. Well nothing happened. So I called back yesterday and had to re-explain the situation. They contacted Ticketmaster and said those tickets had already been claimed but they would make things right and that I should get an email soon.
Nothing happened. So I call back first thing this morning. Of course, I had to re-explain the situation. She then tried contacting Ticketmaster again, and of course was told that those tickets were claimed. She then said she was going to escalate the case. After approx 30 minutes on the phone she told me she was going to straighten things up but that she needed to call me back in "30-60 minutes". After 2 hours I called back again. Of course I had to re-explain the case. This guy said he would handle it. After about 15 minutes he then explained that he tried contacting the seller and those tickets were not available. Oh really? He then sent me a non working link to Ticketmaster to get my new tickets. He then sent another link and no tix on the Ticketmaster site. I told him that that I was literally late leaving for the game and something needed to be done. After being put on hold back and forth for another 25 minutes he told me my case was "escalated". (By my count, as many times as it was "escalated" it should be about up to our higher power by now). He then told me that it was being taken care of and I would get replacement tickets. We left for the game. Upon arrival checking my email there was a message that I would be getting replacement tickets. That was followed by about 5 minutes that my refund had been processed as they were unable to provide replacements.
So we went to the parking garage, went on seat geek and bought new tickets. Of course they had to go through Ticketmaster to have the owner transfer them. Tickets were now there- ahh, relief! We then walked to the game and up to the gate. I then noticed there was no barcode on them and that the tickets said "invalid" on them. A second look showed they were for the seat on my original tickets which had long since disappeared! Back to Ticketmaster and finally the right ones showed up and we were able to enter the game.
So bottom line- Stub hub and Ticketmaster both suck. Customer service was maddening
