For the P4 schools in their conference championship games...If you win your conference, you get a bye the first round of the playoff. If you lose your championship game, you play the first round but are still in the playoffs. The remaining 4 spots got to G5 conference game winners. Yes, there are five G5 conferences, so take the conference winners with the highest ranking.

Something like this should eliminate favoritism or a couple conferences getting in 3-4 teams in. This way it rewards the conference game teams and winners. I am sure I am missing some details that could foil this idea.

I hate the fact that we are not truly getting away from the good ole boys getting their teams in when they don't deserve it. If you don't get to the CCG, too bad, so sad. Try to win more games next year. No 3rd or 4th place teams getting in.
