My 2nd oldest is a freshman in college. The idiot knows we have access to his bank accounts, but still decides to enter the realm of daily fantasy apps. He has a job, and I guess he can spend his money any way he wants, but how dumb can an 18 year old be? We had a long talk last night and I had to explain to him that gambling is something that should have no gray area. He agreed and cashed out and deleted his accounts. I told him the next time I see any gambling from his bank account, I'm blocking the account and he won't have cash. It was a good talk and he finally understood.

He's actually won quite a bit and the only reason he was doing it was to be able to buy his younger siblings Christmas presents. His thought was since my wife is currently going through cancer treatment and my 10 year old daughter has recently started her diabetes journey that we wouldn't be able to supply them with a good Christmas. Such a good thought, but horrible execution.
