Rewatching the game. The speed option on third down at the end of the game was there.

Should have been a TD. Jake pitches it too early so he never forces the lineman to commit and the lineman is able to get over to the RB and forces him to the edge more and Lassiter misses his block. It does seem to give credence to the, "Arod is calling good plays just need to execute better," crowd coming specifically from the players and Hans.

He just had to wait one more step to force the defender to pick either QB or pitch. It was too early. Game of inches

The fade at the end of the first half was there if Jake throws the ball on the right side of the receiver

For a fade (a play I hate) it was actually wide open. Just an awful throw though.

I don't like the matchup as Ta'ase is big but not a great WR. He is a blocking TE.
