Sigh, the day after the first loss. During independence, today was the day that we woke up no longer having that feeling that cultivated from week to week while undefeated, the hope that “this is our year”, dreams of having a team that we’ll look back on with the joy that 84 brought, that 96 brought, etc. dreams of being one of the big dogs in the college football world.
Today, we wake up with all of that. Unlike ever before, we lost and we still woke up at the top of a power conference. We still control our destiny to making the playoffs. When’s the last time we could say we control our own fate to the national title in mid November??
After this day in independence, the rest of the games didnt have much significance. We were fighting for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Ironically, last night we lost and now games get even more important. We have one of, if not, the most important game of the Kalani era this coming week.
But now, there’s no “I don’t care anymore”, or “it’s just a game”, just “GO COUGARS!!!! BEAT ASU!!!!!!!” 🤙🏼
