are some positives I took away from the game:
- The defense played really well, holding a supposedly potent offense to 10 points, if you don’t count that incredibly unlucky pooch punt ridiculousness. They also held Kansas to 242 yards of total offense. If the D keeps playing like this, BYU will be fine.
- We extended our streak of games with an interception to 11, dating back to last year.
- The offense actually moved the ball pretty well much of the game, despite scoring only 13 points. The final drives at the end of the two halves ended horribly, of course, and unfortunately ended up costing us the W (along with that stupid pooch fiasco). But it felt to me like this could be fixed with some minor adjustments, rather than requiring a major overhaul.
- BYU outgained Kansas by over 100 yards, 354-242, and had 10 more first downs (23-13). Objectively, Kansas was very fortunate to win this game.
