The same result. Yes…also ran it against SMU to Keanu Hill and got a catch off a bobble.
So prior to tonight, we were 50% on that play. Jake not throwing the ball well tonight. He had already missed several throws. He under threw it badly the last time we ran it (last week) and ARod decided to go back to it…even though we had 50 seconds on the clock and toe timeouts.
We could have ran straight ahead to LJ twice…even three times…and still kicked a field goal to take the lead into the half.
What you can’t do there is put your QB in a situation where the first read is essentially a jump ball…especially when you have two timeouts, plenty of time…and you’ve been moving the ball at will in this drive.
Ugh. So incredibly frustrating. We have this game away because we were dumb. Dumb dumb dumb.
