Independence sucked for that reason. Especially when it was a 4-team playoff and NY6 bowl tie-ins, we had to be perfect to be in consideration for ANYTHING. This is a much different scenario than 2020 or 2021 and any comparison to those seasons lacks context due to one simple fact: we were independent.
