I welcome the prospect, and the risk, of playing at ASU next week. Awesome. If we want to be taken seriously, we have to play a dangerous schedule. If we want to be mentioned in the same breath as SEC and Big Ten programs, we have to be willing to play risky games, like they do.

Some of you want to back door your way into an undefeated regular season by hoping/dreaming that all the teams in front of us suck. Sounds like you'd prefer a MWC path to the playoffs. I'm sure they'd take us back.

I'd rather prove it out by beating teams like a ranked ASU in Tempe. And if we take an L, then that shows where we stand. If we want to be a championship team, we have to prove it on the field multiple times in a season like this.

So let's go beat Kansas tonight. And then let's freaking go to Tempe and win a big game. If we are a playoff team, we should be able to go get a W next week.

Part of being a contender as a P4 is not getting wobbly-knees every time another good team is on the schedule. Being in these situations is what we've dreamed about for decades. Embrace it.
