This is the first time they've made finals since 1995, when they finished 14th. Since then, they reduced the number of finalists to 12. This means they will have their best finish ever, and it will be the best finish of any Utah high school ever. It's been a long and expensive road and has required tremendous sacrifice and volunteer hours by many members of the community. It's a crazy difficult achievement in a competition that heavily favors schools from Texas and the Midwest. For context, the band with the highest score in semi finals is from a high school located 18 miles from Lucas Oil Stadium, where Grand Nationals is held every year.
