Frazier, Spinks, Tyson, Holyfield, and the great Sugar Ray, boxing does continue to amaze me that it can even be sanctioned, when just calling the Washington Football team by the name Redskins is a huge offense (not so for Cleveland Indians or Chicago Black Hawks).

But with all the protection that the powers that be are trying to institute in football (with good reason), we then tune in and pay to watch a sport where your ultimate goal is to hurt your opponent so badly that they sustain a BRAIN INJURY, or worse, may die with one punch. Or even that it's an endorsed Olympic sport. The collective cognitive dissonance is quite the thing, really. Sometimes it just makes me go - what am I doing endorsing this with my eyeballs on the set.
