I would strongly Kansas's win over Iowa State was much more due to Iowa State losing its best defensive player and field commander, Malik Verdon, in the second series of the game, and being down to 4th through 7th string linebackers who are redshirt freshmen and sophomores than it was due to Kansas being some juggernaut offensively.
On the Cyclone Fanatic podcast this week, they rewatched the game and found that there were less than 5 catches by KU recievers in the entire game where an Iowa State defender was within 5 yards of them when they made the catch. Completely missing their assignments.
Yes, Kansas is capable of really messing teams up with their offense. Also yes, Iowa State has a completely decimated defense which made them look like gods. I can guarantee you BYU's defense won't make those same mistakes (well not guarantee but I sure hope they wont)
