I am genuinely impressed by what BYU has done with the fan experience at LaVell in the past few years. Turbulence with the fire dancers, Cosmo, the freaking ROC, etc is better than Wisconsin’s Jump Around or VATech’s Enter Sandman.

But even better than that is interacting with visiting fans and seeing how surprised they are that BYU fans are *Not* total dirtbags, that we actually see them as people before we see them as opposing fans. Based on every BYU-Utah game I’ve been to at RES, that’s never been my experience there.
