cougarmeister How does this work?
Frank Dolce (UU radio guy, former UU qb) on radio this AM: "That was a bad call"
So my questions to Frank and other red-goggled UU fans are:

1 - Was it a bad call because it was not actually defensive holding? Because every angle I've seen (including the one below) looks pretty clear that the UU defender grabbed and pulled his jersey a couple of times to prevent him breaking away down the sideline.

2 - Was it a bad call because even though there was defensive holding, the referee should have not thrown the flag because of the situation in the game (4th & 10 late in Q4)?

3a - If you answered "Yes" to question #2: does it matter that Jojo was clearly Jake Retzlaff's first option on that play, so the foul CLEARLY affected the outcome of the play? Should that not also be factored into the situation in the game?

3b - Another follow-up if you answered "Yes" to question #2: at exactly what point should the referees stop watching for and calling fouls? Under 2 minutes left? Or is it not time-based, but more about when one team or the other appears to have the game wrapped up? Maybe the officials could have somebody checking the ESPN win probability and when it goes over 90%, the refs just don't call any penalties from that point forward?
