Question about making things in the US rather than China.
I backed a board game on kickstarter, and just received an email that they charged my credit card, and everything looks good for a February delivery date.

However, he mentioned that because the president elect has threatened tariffs against China, there is a possibility that when he gets the games delivered, he may have to pay a hefty fee, which might mean he'll be out of the board game business, because his profit would be really small. He said that it will really affect all board game companies.

Why does China have such a strangle hold on that industry?

Isn't the increased expense in paying workers in the US negated by the savings in not having to ship stuff across the ocean?

I mean, do you really need that many employees? The machines do most of the work, right?
