There are 2 games left this season with 2 teams both playing each other ranked ahead of BYU. Tenn @ Georgia and Indiana @ tOSU. Depending where BYU is ranked going into the CC weekend will determine if the B12 can get 2 teams in or not. We would not want BYU to lose the CC if we were still ranked #9. Lets say the B12 CC game was played this weekend and we lost to #20 Colorado. Colorado would be 1 of 5 highest ranked CC. Would they surpass #12 BSU?? Probably not. Colorado wouldn't get the bye game then. If that were the case do you think they'd kick ND or Alabama out of the playoff and let BYU in? BYU would drop to #12 and they'd let in ND and Bama into the CFP. We either have to win out and win the CC (Secure the bye) or lose one in the season and win the CC and lose the first round bye to BSU and probably have an away game first round playoff. This is assuming that BSU wins out and wins the MW CC.
