Alabama:
It was a blast, for sure, but it was also less than anything close to a challenge.
This season has been such a ride. We are notching Ws against P4 programs. We have two Top 20 wins.
And the Committee still doesn’t believe. ESPN pundits laugh at the idea that we are being shortchanged given our resume.
There is a growing chorus calling out the absurdity of our ranking, sure, but the leading voices of college football are still snickering at the notion of BYU being great.
“Only beat Baylor by 6.” The Baylor team trending to end with 8 wins? That Baylor?
“Only beat OK State by 3.” The OSU team that had two weeks to change their whole offense with the country’s highest percentage of returning talent after getting to the Big 12 Championship Game and beating A&M in the Texas Bowl. That OK State?
“Only beat SMU by 3.” The SMU averaging over 50 at home that you placed as the 1st team out of the playoff at #13 in the nation and who will give Miami all they can handle in the ACC Championship Game? That SMU?
“You were crazy lucky against K-State.” All those quick scores kept the ball in KSU’s hands, and our D still kept the offense — of the team you ranked #19 — out of the endzone. And is it luck when it’s been replicated against Arizona? And against Baylor? And against UCF?
Keep disrespecting our play. Keep snickering at our resume.
We’re hungry.
We’re humble.
Just see if we send the home fans home early again on Saturday.
